Chapter Four
In all honesty (well… as much honesty as a Slytherinesque person such as herself can muster)Hecate didn’t know why she didn’t mind going to Salem’s anymore. But, as she looked at Alden walking beside her, she figured that she had a pretty good idea.
If she did have a sudden epiphany and refuse to go, and she used all of her tactics to get things to go her way, it was a bit too late now. Looking around at the platform of H. Tubman line of the Underground Railroad station, she was in a sort of daze, overcome by the fact that she was actually going to a boarding school, away from everything (though not everyone, which made her quite happy). It seemed surreal almost, no matter how insane her life may be, but at she looked at Alden again and he smiled down at her, their luggage trolley being pulled behind him with one hand, the other grasping her hand which he squeezed reassuringly. With that motion, she wasn’t as nervous about leaving anymore.
Hecate then did something extremely unexpected, especially for her: she turned around and flung her arms around her mother’s neck, hugging her tightly and crying softly into her cloak that concealed her from the world who may see her and recognize her as the Dark Lord Blondemort.
The Dark lord let out a ‘meep’ of surprise and fright before hugging her back just as tightly. Alden smiled at the sight, thinking something along the lines of ‘Kodak moment’, and went to stow their trunks and familiars into a compartment, not wanting to interrupt.
When the loudspeakers announced that there was one minute until the train departed the station, however, he decided it was best that he should let them know if they were to actually go to Salem today.
“My lord, I apologize for interrupting, but the train is about to leave and your heir and I aren’t on it.” he said quietly, and before he knew it, his Lord was back to her normal ice-hearted state, standing above the younger two.
“Of course.” she intoned tonelessly. “Goodbye, Hecate, until I see you again. Please refrain from making too much of a commotion. Greyback, keep her from making too much of a commotion.”
“M’kay.” Hecate muttered, scowling slightly. “Bye, mummy.”
Alden bowed respectively. “My Lord.”
And with that, the Dark Lord Blondemort Apparated back to headquarters and the other two stepped onto the train, making it to their compartment just in time for the train to take off.
